| |
Eight Levels of Programs from basic instruction for serious students of yoga to training for the Yoga Therapists level, all programs are under the guidance of senior teacher and Yoga Therapist, JJ Gormley-Etchells, E-RYT500.

Three Main Levels: While there are Eight Levels of Programs listed, there are just three main levels: 300hr, 700hr and 1500hr. If you wish to join at the 100, 200 or 300hr level, you will be taking classes from the catalog of courses
of the 300-hour level until you meet the requirements (although you may
make some substitutions of higher level course numbers, the majority of
your training should be from 300hr level courses.)
If you wish to join at the 500 or 700hr level, you will be taking classes from the catalog of courses
of the 700-hour level until you meet the requirements (although you may
make some substitutions of either lower or higher level courses, the
majority of your training should be from 700-hr level courses.)
If you wish to join the Therapeutics Training at the 900, 1200 or 1500hr level, you will be taking classes from the catalog of courses
of the 1500hr level until you meet the requirements (although you may
make some substitutions of lower level courses, the majority of your
training should be from 1500-hr level courses.)
Advanced Studies Programs Level 1 - 100-hour - Red Level - Basic Yoga Studies. For students of yoga interested in learning more philosophy, anatomy and more technique training in asana, pranayama and meditation. No pre-requisites other than a strong desire to learn more than one gets in a weekly classroom. Diploma issued for 100-hours of Basic Yoga Studies. Level 2 - 200-hour - Orange Level - Advanced Yoga Studies. For students of yoga interested in learning more of the subjects listed in the Level 1 Program, as well as teaching methodology and practice with like-minded peers. Students must begin a yoga practice of approximately 30 minutes per day, complete this practice at least 4 times per week and maintain this practice for the duration of the training, keeping a journal. A private session with faculty is required to determine a practice designed for the student’s particular needs. The cost of this private session is not included in the training program. Our comprehensive program includes the belief that 200-hours is not nearly enough study in yoga to begin teaching and highly recommends further study before a student of yoga enters the classroom as a teacher (see Level 3 for a Certficate for Teaching Yoga.) Also required: reading, research paper and final take-home comprehensive exam. No pre-requisites other than a strong desire to learn more than one gets in a weekly classroom. Diploma issued for 200-hours of Advanced Yoga Studies.
