Yoga Therapy is used for helping the healing process for anything from arthritis, allergies, asthma to cancer, HIV+, MS, Parkinson's. JJ along with your doctor can help find the best course of action for your overall health and well-being.
Yoga Therapy can include any of the following to help your healing process: 1. Yoga movements called asanas, generally given in sync with the breath to facilitate integration of the respiratory system with the anatomical movement. 2. Yoga breathing called pranayama, generally given to help with stress, emotional stability, insomnia and systemic ailments. 3. Yoga sounds called mantra, generally given to help the exhale lengthen, to ensure that proper breathing is happening and to help the mind focus on something which helps with stress. 4. Improve diet for better nourishment of the body-mind. Other practices to help you get or maintain a calm state of mind. This is the essence of yoga.
A Yoga Therapist does not diagnosis, but rather takes a look at what all the symptoms are and what the best course of action may be to reduce symptoms to alleviate suffering. Reducing pain and helping the client sleep better are number one. All information gathered for Yoga Therapy from a client is considered privileged information and therefore not divulged to any source at any time. (Hippa act)
Appointments are approximately 40 minutes (first time appointment generally run longer). Fee: $65 / session.

| Private Yoga Therapy Appointment at location other that at Samana Healing Clinic It's hard to know exactly what is right for ourselves versus what we might be doing that is actually creating more imbalance. Sometimes it takes another person to guide us. In a private yoga therapy session, you can expect JJ to listen to what you might be going through right now, in your body, your mind, your emotions, and your spirit. She will then develop a practice that will draw from yoga's many tools which are appropriate for you to practice.
Once you've had your first private session, adjustments may be made to the practice as needed. These adjustments may be done via email or SKYPE.
Fee: $90 for in-person
